I actually made a massive text review of it that I wanted to get put into that one /v/idya magazine that was being made at some point by anons, but I figured it would've been too long and there was no feasible way for me to chop it down or summarize it significantly enough for it to ever fit in there its 20 pages long, about 6.6k words and i'm probably not finished with it yet, it'll serve as a potential foundation for my video script. The fact that it can be enjoyed as a game by someone like that even though its a laser-specific porn game (and the fetish element being integrated noticeably and keenly with the game's overall design itself, so its not just like "JRPG with some porn dumps on the side") impresses me greatly. This amuses me greatly and reinforces my own thoughts and views on it. > I have absolutely no interest in giantess stuff, but I've played through the whole thing twice. Nothing like a meaty review or an analysis I've seen on there, though one can argue that the fact that its still getting regular, full playthroughs on YT even now might be a testament to its quality as a game imo. There are tons of videos and playthroughs yes, but those are mainly walkthroughs, death scenes, or miscellaneous things iirc.
I'm considering making a video review on the OG myself now because I haven't seen nearly enough people properly praise the game on all it has to offer.
I posted a text review of it on cuck/d/ several years ago, back when I could at least try to stomach the place. That doesn't mean there are no merits to Gaiden, but it was definitely very disappointing for me compared to SH OG. The CGs for them were both garbage and piddling. And I 'hated'' the generic grunts in Gaiden, they're so goddamn ugly compared to SH that its genuinely appalling to me. Even the little things like SH OG having a custom UI meant to resemble a school chalkboard compared to the dime a dozen stock RPG Maker menu that 99% of RPG Maker games (and Gaiden by extension) have. The first game was genuinely very well made and its immediately apparent that they cheaped out and got lazy with everything from the overall art quality/# of CGs, to general game and map design as a whole. I'm glad someone else noticed all the "game" flaws for gaiden too.
